Love Lunch is a family sandwich shop so good old-fashioned customer service lies at the heart of what we do. To support the local area where possible we use local suppliers a few of which include Ribble Dale Farm, Irthing Vale and the famous Atkinsons’ Coffee! Our prices are affordable and competitive as we make many of our products ourselves with fresh raw ingredients which in turn taste better too.

Lyndsey Fitheridge and Claire McKirdy (Founders of Love Lunch)Claire and Lyndsey met at school and remained friends throughout University. Lyndsey now works in Recruitment and Claire teaches in a local secondary school. After living and working in Lancaster for some time it was clear to them that there was a need for a new, fun and fresh sandwich bar. So, after a few drinks one night last September 07 they decided to open Love Lunch. Eight months later they became proud to head up such a dedicated family team. More recently they have launched the corporate lunch service which has already become popular with some of Lancaster’s local businesses.
Hayley Fitheridge (Events and Catering Manager of Love Lunch)Hayley started her career in catering upon leaving school and has worked in many food establishments including North Lakes Hotel, Reghead, Whoop Hall and La Baguette Sandwich Shop in Penrith. We are flattered that she has taken up the offer to manage such a new venture as she brings a wealth of both catering and staff management experience to the role. Will FitheridgeWill does an amazing job making all of our products fresh each day for our customers to enjoy. He also supports Hayley to run the shop day to day and manages the shop on a Monday when we let Hayley have a day off!
Chelsea, Roz and DaisyChelsea, Roz and Daisy make up our part time team and have all done a great job looking after our customers. Chelsea makes a delicious marsbar cake and is also our chief “cake taster”, Roz always has a smile on her face, we are still amazed by how happy she is day in day out! Daisy is the youngest of our team and does a great job on our busy Saturdays.
Shirley Wood (Partner)Shirley is the Fitheridge clan’s Grandma and has invested in our venture from day one. Although her input is from the side lines her enthusiasm and support has been crucial to our success. Who knows you may see her serving in the shop if we are short staffed!
